    Default Meet Big Mama

This is my other American Toad. There is no doubt that she is a female. Nice creamy throat that matches her belly. Plus she's huge! She isn't shy at all and will come to me as soon as I open the lid of their container thinking it's food time. Once I start dropping in crickets or mealworms she comes hopping and chirping to the bowl. So cute!

    P.s.
I've taken to calling her Big Mama because of her size. But I never really thought of an official name. What do you think? Keep calling her Big Mama? Any name suggestions welcome!

If "she" chirps it's most likely a male.. I've never had a female that chirped. What you have is a "Big Daddy". ;D

Males have a dark throat. Im not talking about a mating call. All toads make little chips or squeeks. Especially if you pick them up and they don't like it.
