    Default Hello from Michigan

Hello everyone... I'm Heather and I have 3 beautifully pudgy american toads, named Meatball, Zen and Buddah. They live outside in a homemade habitat and I care for them very much.

I also have a little toadlet, I found in my flower bed one day, and Herbie now has a nice habitat in my house

Nice to see a place where I can learn more about my babies and how to care for them to the best of my ability. Thanks!

Hi. I'm originally from Kalamazoo, now in Cali. Welcome.

Woodhouse toads rock! Buy lots of Nightcrawlers.

I'm also a Michigander, Welcome to the forums.. surprising I haven't seen any toads this year, kind of bums me out. It's gotta be because of how dry it is.. I usually get them around my porch and barns.

Good trick to use to catch toads in MI... Lay some roofing shingles in your grass.and water them. Within a week, they'll be hiding underneath.

Thanks for the welcomes I found my toad babies right in my back yard... or rather my dog found them! Luckily I snatched them up before she licked them... LOL

Hello, I'm also a Michigander! Also, I catch toads all the time and just recently I had some in a ten gallon in my basement. I have a video up on youtube right now about when I just had one but then I got two so the one was not lonely. If you want to check it out here's my youtube name emfroggy98. I let them go though because I just got a painted turtle from my uncles pond. I now have him in a 20 gallon tank that we just bought. Also I hope you enjoy your stay here on the frogforums. I know I like It.The people here have helped me more then enough and I now think that I'm becoming a pain because I ask to many questions about wild caught frogs/toads and even turtles now.
