I have a Red Eyed Tree Frog that's about 1.2" in length, I've had him for about 3 months. He usually eats one vitamin dusted cricket per day (except on the rare occasions that two drop into his cage). He has NEVER refused food, not even when I first got him. That made me wonder if I'm feeding him enough. So am I giving him enough? And am I dusting the crickets too often? He is captive bred, if that makes a difference.
Juvenile frogs need to be fed more then that.
It's important if you wan't it to grow nice and strong to provide it as much as it like to eat.
It is no problem when some feeder insects are left over.
Just throw in a bunch and see how long it takes to be eaten, crickets that are grown to big can be taken away from the viv.
When i raised red eyes from tads they ate a lot more then 1 cricket a day at that size.
Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely be giving him more food from now on. I had a feeling he wasn't getting enough...
