    Default Zoomed Vivarium log-Morgan

I've been working on this the past week so the plants will have time to fill in/strengthen before I grab some darts at the LA reptile EXPO next month.
    Using the layered Styrofoam idea.

Used GS for the gaps. Black DAP after that. And pressed coconut into surface before it cured.

    Base of lg. River rock.

    Filter fiber barrier.

1.5" of my bonsai free-draining mix. Plants and Babys tears ground cover. Reptifogger, too.

    C'est Fini!

Wow dude, that looks awesome. What does GS and Black DAP stand for? I just bought a 18x18x24 tank and I'm looking to do something similar, just haven't decided what yet, it will be my first project. Can't wait to see this once you have your frogs in it.

I don't have a lot of space. I may have to consider a thumbnail species. Tincs are out of the question, way too big.
I'd like to keep 2, maybe 3 frogs. Any Suggestions, guys?

If it were me, I'd probably consider gettin some with redish colors. Like Intermedius, Jeberos, or benedicta.. those frogs just look so awesome. Tank looks great btw.

Yes...jeberos might work. I really don't want any overcrowding or aggression so I may limit this setup to one pair if I can find such a thing.

Found a right-sized bromeliad to balance the pothos.

How did you make the holes in the background for planting? Or is that just moss stuck onto the wall? I would love to make planter ledges out of foam.

    Anyway it's freakin' gorgeous!

No holes. Just made sure I really went over my foam pieces strategically before DAP'd in permanently.
Then I used a form of baby tears that grows very densely. Tears are not really a moss, just mislabeled sometimes.

Almost forgot, I do use sheet moss in the topmost ledge under the fogger input.

Also installed a Hygrotherm today which turns your fogger on/off at exact humidity. Awesome device.

Holy ****, that is a nice setup man.. that bromeliad really brought it together. I'm betting that you'll have some very happy frogs.

Home Sweet Home... They rarely leave their bromeliad. I've been putting banana on it to attract the flies off the ground for them.

Nah...just sharing. Someone out there might find this (log) useful when trying their 1st backgrounds. I learned from a similar log when I joined up. But, thank you anyways. This is just 1 of 6 living tanks in my classroom and school starts in 1.5 weeks. Busy busy.
