    Default WTH! Mutant cricket???

I just went to my feeder tank to get some food for my babies and I found this! I wasn't afraid of the crickets until I saw this!

it looks fine to me. Is it the long legs or its size that freaks you out?

It looks like it's back is curved, looks different than the other crickets. When I first saw it, it looked like 2 crickets together. It's size does creep me out. They were supposed to be small/medium but some of them have been giant!

its possible that the reason its curved is because it just finished molting

Yep that's exactly why it looks that way. Its exoskeleton hasn't hardened yet. That's why its whitish too. This is how the grow so that is also the reason it is larger than the rest.

believe it or not, but this "mutant" is the best time to feed to your reptiles because the new exoskeleton hasnt hardened yet.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't even find the cricket the next morning because it already looked like all the rest of them.
