What type of tree frog does not eat crickets or roaches. I'm not aloud to have any type of roach or cricket in the house, and I really want a tree frog. Someone please help, I've looked everywhere and everything eats crickets...
Crickets or roaches are going to be the staple for all tree frogs.
Don pretty much said it. There's not a tree frog out there that their staple diet isn't going to be either crickets or roaches.
There are frogs that do not have to eat crickets or roaches, but with Tree Frogs that makes up the majority of what you will feed them. I have had juveniles on fruit flies, but eventually they will need crickets.
Sweetheart I wouldn't consider getting an animal that your parents will not let you take proper care of. If it gets sick will they help with the vet visits or cost?! There are a lot of things you have to consider when getting any pet. If its a frog, dog or cat whatever it is. Think about the animals needs before your wants.
My 15 year old White's Tree Frog Hetfield (RIP 1996-June 4, 2012) and my little girl Lucy
Silkworms might be an option. They can be used as a staple for many other reptiles and amphibians.
Earthworms make a great staple.
I suggest a crested gecko. They just eat a mix that you add water to. They live happily at room temp and are apparently pretty friendly. Very simple. I personally like frogs better, but I think a crested gecko is a good choice for your situation.
Well, I don't want to take a pet in that won't get proper care for. So , I've decided to wait 3 more years till I'm in college to get a tree-frog. MY stupid parents won't even allow me to get the tank. I hate them :P
