I wouldn't trap it in. Let it heal from the inside out. Change your flooring to moist paper towels and change daily until the wound heals. Apply original neosporin to the wound daily. What happened?

I dont know thats how i got her from the pet store. they said that they didnt know what happened maybe it was someone wearing a ring and poked her or something :/ it doesnt look infected and i am trying to keep it clean. but i am not sure how to go about doing that. the are so sensitive it doesnt seem to be bothering her though if i touch it or anything she doesnt show any signs of pain.

Awe . Definitely remove the substrate temporarily until she heals. The substrate can harvest bacteria, which normally they can tolerate because their skin is intact. Give the bottom of the tank a good wiping with paper towels. Give her a cave or hide for now because she won't be able to burrow. This will reduce her stress level some. Your best bet is to soak her daily in fresh dechlorinated water and then set her on a dry paper towel. Apply the neosporin gently with a Qtip. Only use Original neosporin because the others are toxic to them. Then place her back in her home on the moistened new paper towels. I would feed her before handling her because it's unlikely she'll want to eat after being held. Then let her rest and destress. If the wound doesn't start looking better in a couple days or looks worse, larger, red, swollen, or has drainage you'll need systemic antibiotic drops from the vet right away.

I'm glad you asked. They can become sick quickly. Hope this helps!

If she is not eating well you can soak her in plain clear pedialyte solution in a 1:10 dilution. One part luke warm dechlorinated water to one part pedialyte for 15 minutes. This will give her important nutrients. There are other things you can do also. Let me know if you need more help.

    Good luck! Keep us posted.

Have you tried crickets or dubia roaches? How long has it been since not eating? Do the pedialyte soak every other day and a normal soak every other day in between the pedialyte days until eating again. Offer food each day. If he doesn't eat it, remove it. He'll get hungry again. Is he in a nice quiet area?

I think she'll be okay. Try soaking her in the evening when she'd normally come out to eat. Have everything ready. I put my Tupperware bowl I soak mine in right into the tank so she's not too scared. Keep it shallow, just enough to sit in. He'll probably act all crazy. He'll be ok. When the soak is done just set him back into his house. If you're going to try and feed, do it before the soak.

I think so too. What of you just set it on the ground in front of her? Think she'll take it?

If its frozen thawed there's a good chance she won't take it without the tongs. They're movement/touch based, and something just laying there rarely triggers a feeding response.

Now what you can try is putting the fuzzy on the ground, and kinda scootch it towards your frog with the tongs. That works for me lot!

I have tried that. I tried letting it sit there, moving it around, making it look a live everything! She is just being stubborn!!!

Nothing.. The vet said that she is in hibernation and she probably won't eat for a little while.. Because I am moving I have her heating lamp off but I have a heating pad under her tank. So she is staying warm. But right now she is under the dirt and sleeping and will only wake up when I give her a bath. So the dr. Said to let her do her thing and she will come out when she is hungry.

How warm is the tank right now? Move the under heat pad to the side of the tank. Many have been known to burrow down and burn their undersides. It depends on how cool the tank is...

its about 80 degrees. so far i have had the heating pad on medium so it doesnt get too hot and she has been only half way under the dirt. i put some crickets in there with her the other day so when she does wake up and get hungry there is something there for her. i will still continue trying to feed her other things too. we just moved so she is back to being upset because its a new environment. and we are going to switch her tanks soon. so hope that works out

I would still move the heater to the side. 80 degrees is perfect. I hope she settles well for you .
