I wanted to post this article I found while surfing the web for care on African Dwarf frogs. Turns out, these frogs are the most abused and neglected frog on the market. Here is the article

After reading the article, I went to the nearest toy store, Learning Express, which sells these. I took pictures of them, which are at the bottom of the page. They advertise "genetically enhanced frogs straight from their special laboratory." Each of these 4x4 cubes can apparently, according to the advertisements, house 2-4 frogs comfortably.

It isn't only African Dwarf frogs, leopard frogs are on their way up the "most blatantly abused animal list" too. In this kit, Planet Frog will sell you 2 tadpoles to live in a plastic rain forest environment. I don't know about you, but most leopard frogs I see don't live in the RAINFOREST!

Frogs are already suffering from population declines do to humans in the wild, but in captivity they are supposed to be cared for properly and safe. This is not how any animal deserves to be treated. I wanted to reach out somehow, to tell people about these trends, and what better way then a frog forum with dedicated and caring frog lovers.
