I didn't suggest speeding things up. Question: doesn't ABG contain charcoal(among other things)?? Josh's Frogs cites ABG as part of their substrate formula? Ps, just asking - not challenging previous remarks

yes it contains one part charcoal among other things. the only thing missing on your list is tree fern fiber. if you need the recipe than let me know

my only suggestion is to make sure you know what type of care your orchid needs. some mediums, like coco fiber, will kill certain types.
Orchids is a touchy subject because there are 25,000 species out there with even more hybrids.
I am assuming that with the AGB question that you have an epiphytic orchid and not terrestrial.
