Goldfish aren't good. A mouse every other month or so is ok as an occasional treat. Try and feed a frozen/thawed mouse if your frog will take it to prevent injury.

I feed pinkies and small mice as they're growing, the protein is much needed during their growth spurts.

Okay thank you. I bought some goldfish the other day too.. I guess I could make them pets now. I heard about the frozen pinky mice so I will try that, she hasn't been eating or really doing anything she has been sitting in the same spot and sleeping most of the time. Tonight I will give her a bath (with out any soap) to see if she enjoys the water. I am not too sure on how to keep that tank she is in.. She felt very cold so I put a heater in there under the dirt so she wont get over heated.. What temp should I keep the cage at? She is my first pixie frog so I don't really know how to care for her

Don't put the heater under the dirt. The frog will dig down to it and could be badly burned.

No gold fish or any other fish unless you can be absolutely sure they have no parasites (you cant be sure, so don't feed them). As far as your frog not eating, that is bad. What is your staple food? Do not put an under tank heater IN the tank (based on what you said "in the tank under the dirt". This will kill your frog. They will burrow, dry out and roast themselves if they are on top of the heater. These frogs love to burrow, so make sure they have plenty of substrate (eco earth, coconut fiber...stick with these). Use a basking light over the water dish (your dish should be big enough for your frog to soak in). These frogs love to sit in the water under a basking lamp (I use a 25 watt bulb about 12 inches above the water). If you are on a budget like mine, then maybe you need to use what you have. Put the heating mat (no rocks I hope) on the outside of the tank, on the side (not under). You should be using a thermometer and hygrometer to monitor temp and humidity. Keep them between 75-85 in the day, and its okay to let it drop to 65-70 at night. I always create a cool and hot spot in my frog setup. In my tank, there is an area that stays at 73-76 degrees F with 80% humidity, and the spot under the heat lamp (water dish) is at 85-88 degrees F with 55-65% humidity. This allows the frog to self regulate its temp. These temps drop by a few degrees at night. Lately I have been switching my regular basking bulb for a black basking bulb at night because she really likes to soak and bask. It helps with digestion. It is a very good idea to vary the diet of these frogs. My staples are Dubia roaches and earthworms for my sub-adult, with a few crickets a few times a week. When she gets older I will throw in a frozen thawed chick for a treat, and maybe a mouse every other month. My sub adult eats every day and is voracious. I feed her as much as she wants and will eat in a 15 min time frame. When she gets a little older (1yr approx), I will switch to feeding staples every other day, and a treat once a month. If she's not eating, get on that temp/humidity control. Mist your frog a couple times a day at least to help with humidity. Don't handle your frog until it is feeling better and eating well, and at that handle him/her sparingly. You don't want to stress out an already stressed frog. This can lead to death. Thank you. I have the heating pad outside of the tank on the bottom of the cage set to medium so it doesn't get hot just warm. Your set up looks awesome and I will be sure to start the humidity and heat (the right way) as soon as I can I hope she starts moving around or something!
