i had him for 5 months and the guy i bought it off she he was 3 months so that makes em 8 months i guess.
I feed em every other dusted crickets and pinkies every once in a while. When i first got him he was a little bit bigger than a quarter now he blows up sometimes into the size of a golf ball if not bigger, he gets small sometimes tho so is he the right size for its age? He is growing but pretty slowly
If the frog is intact that old he is stunted pretty bad. Probably from either poor genes or inadequate care from the previous care taker. Make sure you dust his food with a multivitamin once a week and dust with calcium every other to every 2 feedings. Do not dust with both at the same time in the same feeding.
He's def small for his age..
He's a really awesome looking albino tho.
Does he have potential to grow full size?
Hm i see also hes too lazy to chase his crickets around he waits for me to use te tongs n feed hin a few crickets is this normal? I seen him hopping aroud before but never eats his food on his own
get some nightcrawler and cut them in half and feed him with tongs at least both halves every night dip one end of the worm in calcium twice a week and vitamins twice a week not on the same feeding. and up the number of worms as he grows.
I have him in 10 gallon tank i also heard they dont grow if theyre terrarium is too small becuase they adapt to it???
ok.. one they don't adapt to fit their tank....two if he is 8 months old he is vary small .. like half the size I would expect in most cases.. he probably can still make it to full size.. but he needs better food and more of it.. ie. night crawlers would be the best and easiest to get.. tho in riverside you can get most any foods that are way better then crickets.. like horned worms and roaches. Also a full grown female can live in a 10 gal just fine so its not the size of the tank.. but temps and other things could be a factor.
I keep his temps at 80 to 85 n night like 78 to 80 nOkay good to know ima get him some night crawlers hopefully thatll work. Ill keep you guys updated
Here are my to adult males both became full grown at 4" at 4 or so months, they're both around 18 months now
(the 2 pics on the left are the same guy "King Louis" and on the right is the other "Jabba")
I keep them in swampy/muddy eco-earth but enough substrate to dig and burrow. Burrowing is where they most comfortable and less stressed which in turn promotes appetite.
Temp is constant 80
