Anyone use Tree Fern Panel?? this stuff worth spending money on? Seems like a great idea, but I never read anyone using it
Hey there, i know a lot of people that use tree fern panel. The thpught is to go with as natural as possible inside the vivarium (less silicone, greatstuff, ect). If you plant it heavily, and mount a bunch of plants on it you wont even see the hardscapes anyways. I personally do not use it but it is not uncommon. I was thinking about trying it out for one of my future vivariums. Just my 2 cents

hmmm, this gives me an idea. I havent started on my background yet.
I found these fern slices just recently when I purchased some Bromelias for my enclosure. Plant stores like to mount broms on themI am definitely thinking I will use it for my next build as it seems to retain moisture really well and they look really good too. Easy to mount plants on and probably hold up to a bit more punishment from tree frogs which seem to destroy my fibres over silicon backgrounds.
I actually have placed a couple of pieces of it under my substrate, just below the top soil in a few places to elevate the areas and in a hope that it might offer a good support for roots of ground cover to grow into.
