this seemed to be the best sight for this advice but ive got a green tree python tank im setting up its verticle and just wanted to seal the small cracks where the wood meets to just help the humidity stay strong and caulked the whole inside befor i thought it might be toxic(so stupid and very rookie mistake) i see silicones the way to go now but wasnt sure if when my mister goes off and hits where the caulk was if any toxins would leak into the water and go into the substrate or if it would weakin it with high humidity It will be a vivarium but just tall and not long im not sure what could happen so i started this to get help and very much appreciate your help with this and the last thing was if it is toxic after hardening is there some kind of clear coat of sealent i should use just trying to think of all possibilitys its costing over 1300 for this and gotta get it right
