Default Dumpy tree frog skin problem

Hello, I'm very concerned about my whites treefrog. Recently small dots/bulges have started to appear over his body. It started right after we moved out to our summerhouse and I cleaned the encloser. I have one more frog in the same cage but he has not been affected.
I'm not completely sure, but I also think that the "sick" frog has been less active since this began.

Maybe it's some viral infection? We don't have any vet that knows about frogs so I really hope any of you can help
Please tell me what to do! This frog is very much beloved and I don't want anything to happen to him

Looks like basic bumps and bruises that they obtain over time from jusping around the tank and missing the desired landing points.

You can contact Dr Frye and ask. He is not in on Wednesday and if you write him include pics and he will reply.

If that's the case I'm very relieved. The odd thing is that most appeared at the same time and haven't gone away since then. Some are also at places that are irrelevant for being brushes from jumping, and also I've never seen them before on my frogs. It all just seems a bit fishy and if something actually is wrong I want to caught it as soon as possible.
Thank you for the link! I will contact him right away

keep us posted leachie. Like don said they could just be from jumping and bumping against thing. The only one that concerns me is the one on the nose. It looks like a scratch and you should contact Dr Frye.

Hope everything goes well for you

I got this reply from Dr Frye:
"That appears to be a mild or early case of bacterial or fungal dermatitis. I would recommend treating the frog with Baytril drops and SIlversulfadiazene."

It feels good to at least know what it is! I will do as he recommended and hope that my frog gets well.
Do any of you know if this can go away by itself? I wouldn't take the risk but it would be good to know anyway.

Good to know it can be treated.

As for can it go away? Well, you can take your chances but i wouldn't recommend it. I frog is a living thing just like you and me.
Like he said, its the early stages and it wouldn't require much treatment and therefore not much money needed to be spend.

Let us know what happens to your little baby!

As said I wouldn't take the risk because he is very precious to me. The thing is that my parents will be very unwilling to pay this, and the reasons you just gave me I can use against them
Thanks! I'll keep you all updated.

The spots have started to dissapear by themselves! I have an appointment at the vet tomorrow morning since the medicines need prescription, but since the spots have become so few and unnoticeable I'm not sure if I shall proceed. What do you guys think?

I saw this post and noticed that my frogs had spots also and sometimes they had more anda hour later they would have less. I took them to the vet here in Oklahoma and he told me that it was natural. They were called stress spots and they would ome and go depending on if and how stressed the frogs were. I was wondering if anyone on here had heard of stress spots?

can dr frye not supply you with the medication? i am pretty sure itd be much cheaper just to have him mail the medication to you then to go to a vet.

He can not send meds out of country. Some countries require a percription for very basic meds.

I had one of my RETFs stress and have a really sad ill looking blotchy mix of colors. I was worried but before i even had a reply from Dr Frye the frog was back to normal color and routine.

Yeah, we are pretty lucky when it comes to vet meds compared to other countries.
