Hey guys!

My name is Brandon. I live in Minnesota, USA. I am new to the frog keeping thing, but I am well researched. I have several aquariums full of fish, and am now going to try a vivarium biotope. The idea is to get a nice sample of one specific area of the world. I will have fish, and frogs, and plants, all that came from northern South America. Everything is completely set up except the frog. I plan to buy a Map Treefrog (Hypsiboas geographicus) tomorrow from a pet shop in the Twin Cities. I figured I would ask the advise of real frog keepers

Anyway, a post will be made immediately after this one asking a question about that frog.

I have found that forums can be extremely useful. I don't think I would be where I am with my fish if it weren't for FishForums.com.

OoOoOoOO what fish have you decided upon ??? I am at the mist of my new Viv which I want to add a couple of fish to eat the insects that drown.....cannot decide whether to get a betta, tetras, or pygmy corys - as they are all happy with the tannins I expect my water will get......hmmm or maybe a couple of dwarf tropical shrimps.

I ended up buying a Map treefrog. He is pretty cool. He woke up about 3 minutes after the lights went out (since he is nocturnal) and he was crawling all over the glass. Here is a pic of him.



Also I would recommend the betta out of those. Cories are boring and like to shoal, and tetras might be a bit small and get eaten, depending on the size of the frog, and the type of tetras. Shrimp will be a tasty snack for most frogs, and they dont eat bugs. They eat algae and bits of uneaten food or dead plants and animals.
