"aquarium / terrarium" plants at PetSmart---kosher??

Anyone run across these: "aquarium / terrarium" plants at PetSmart

will they grow in a planted viv?

seems shady... ferns & onion plants mostly. they come in plastic tubes w/ some kind of jelly at the roots

they work better for terrarium plants than they do in actual aquariums. I have seen them there and thought most of those types of plants were a scam for aquariums. the best part about them is they are soil less so you dont have to worry about perlite getting in your terrarium. make sure you research them individually and see what kind of soil they each like.
