I have many of them with that same pattern. That one is a juvie that I held back for future breeding.

What size and watt heat tape is that? do you place the heat tape slightly back like that on all your enclosures? Im making a rack but cant decide the best way to position the heat tape or what size to use.

Cool looking frogs, is there care or behavior any different than the more common Chacoan?

Care is the same, but you can always fine tune the climate for them to see how the like it best. I've done this with some good results.

I agree, very fair price. I bought one from Mike and it arrived yesterday. Gorgeous healthy frog. Excellent transaction and I will be doing business with Mike again. Highly recommend.

Got one from Mike this week and couldn't be happier. Very nice frog and great service from Mike. Should have bought more than one.

If I had the room, I might have done the same.

These are neat frogs. They seem to be the athletes of the horned frog world.

I have a 4.5" female Brown Chacoan and she can jump about 10" high and probably 3 times her body length. If Caatingas are the athletes I'd love to see how far and high their chubby butts can jump.

Its cool that they still have farely powerful legs for jumping and not just burrowing. I've got a Male C. Cranwelli that can jump higher and farther Lol! This is what I've discovered while getting them out for a warm soak

Thanks guys. This is the first year doing the caatingas. I am keeping a large group of them to add to the breeding stock. Pretty sure I like them more than cranwelli. They are neat frogs and always active
