I know its the nightmare of all amphibian and reptile keepers, so I want to be sure to know the ways of preventing the mites from appearing. Is there certain precautions one could take to do so? Please let me know below. Thanks in advance! ;D
Assuming you haven't introduced them with innappropriate decor items, then you'd be trying to keep them from entering? An old trick I have used with my classroom enclosures is to cut 2 inch segments of a canine flea collar. Then, strategically place them at the corners(outside). Keeps spiders and ants away, too.

dont bring any foreign objects from outside without sanitizing them. there are some products you can use out there on the shelf at a pet store and there are some you can probably find at a pharmacy store. the best thing is to make sure non of your outside animals get near your captive bred ones. if you have any outdoor cat or dog than I would leave it outdoors all the time or make sure it gets no where near your reptile room.
