Hello guys!
Today i tried putting a feeding bowl inside my viv for my 3, 4 month old whites to eat. One of them was watching me put them in and soon after, ate all 3 i put in.
Im not sure if the other 2 noticed it but how long till they do? Should i keep a few in there during the day because sometime they wake up and have a stroll around and hopefully they will see it.
So, how long did it take your frogs to get used to the feeding bowl? One isn't really active at night and sites under the heat light. I may try picking him/her up and placing them near the bowl but ill see...
Anway, the curtest thing happened after the little one ate. He climbed up the branch and is now sitting on top of one of the other frogs. Awww!!!!
I have 2 whites and they got used to their feeding bowl pretty quick. They sort of take turns as to who jumps in first. Some nights it's only one that gets the bowl and sometimes they both go in together. Sometimes I feel sorry for the one that doesn't get the bowl and I hand feed. I also make sure to put in at least 6 crickets. This way they both have a chance. They tend do do everything in their bowl once they are in it, which makes for easy cleanup : )
3 crickets for 3 four month olds doesn't sound like a lot. Maybe try feeding more crickets and maybe using 2 bowls???
The crickets are medium sized but ill feed them a bit more.
