The only problem with that is when a frog sheds they tend to eat it. It’s actually good for them. So watch out they might have the skin in the mouth which may prevent the frog from swallowing the cricket and cause problems. If you try to force feed the cricket and it doesn't work get a paste from the Vet or even a pet store. They need the nutrient especially when sick.

Alright, hopefully it won't come to that. I'm going to give him a Pedialyte soak tonight and continue to treat with Vetericyn. I'll give it a couple more days before I try force feeding. So far it's only been two days and since he's still pretty plump I'm not going to start force feeding just yet. Just in case I'll see if we have anything at work or if I need to order something (I work at a pet store).

unflavored pedialyte 10 parts water 1 part pedialyte right? dont do it too much. pedialyte can cause some problems if used too much. this was acquired from another frogger website

Thanks for the info, unfortunately I did a 3 parts Pedialyte to 1 part water. I did some research first but the internet is difficult to sift through sometimes. I will do the 10 parts water tomorrow night. I hope I didn't stress him out too much...he's hiding from me right now and the house it quiet so hopefully he will calm down soon. I was concerned because he wasn't soaking at all the past two nights so I tried to get some fluids in him. I really hope I did the right thing...I guess all I can do is go to sleep and see how he's doing in the morning.

I PISSED!!! My RETF just up and died. I was treating him and he was doing much better. His skin was clearing up and even my boss looked and him last night and said he was doing good and should make it. This morning I woke up and he had lost all of is body weight, in a matter of 12 hours! Seriously...he had weight yesterday but since he hadn't eaten in a while I went ahead and force fed him a couple of crickets just to get something in him. He seemed to look a lot better after he ate and this morning he could barely hang on to the wall, I tried giving him a cricket since that was about the only thing I could think of doing. He died this afternoon.

I'm just confused, I mean I know they're not the easiest things to take care of but normally you can tell when an animal is going to die. I mean, the last one just up and died like this too. The two White's tree frogs at work look worse than these guys did and I was able to bring them back easy. I think the first one had some sort of internal issue and gave it to this one. I noticed that he pooped this morning and it came out looking like a cricket, like it hadn't even been digested. Anyone have any ideas?

I loved these little guys even though I didn't have them that long. They were so cool, and this one that I just lost was acting like a dog the first week. When I came home from work every day he was waiting at the top for his food. He had such a cool personality. I want to try and get some more but I'm going to do a lot more research and either try to find a breeder locally or go to an expo (isn't until Sept or Oct).
