I really appreciate all of your help. I want to know what the chances are that I would be bothered by a males croaking. I am sure you have owned males and females and I would like to know if all males will croak. And when I say this I mean not by persuasion by me or sounds/water.

Most call when humidity is right and pretty much whenever they feel like singing. It can be quite loud, but ite not a terrible sound. Usually they call in sets, but occasionally just one or two little ones. Go on YouTube and look up Pacman Frog mating calls.

Yes ALL male Pacman Frogs will call. Its inevitable.

I have had a pacman for a year now and I have not heard him call. My pyxie just started calling and it wasnt very loud and only because he heard the crickets in my room. He was telling me that he was hungry because when I looked up he had his hands on the glass and looking straight at me. If you dont mind me asking, why wouldnt your parents be ok with it? if they think it is going to keep them up at night than I can assure you that these calls are random and not continuous throughout the night. i am sure you already know this but you mentioned about getting an albino. do not use lights.

The whole deal is that my dad is tired of my crickets chriping that I feed to my geckos. My parents simply told me that it can not make any noise that might make them up. Also it will be living in my room so I dont really want to be woken up.

crickets are the most annoying which is why i keep them in my garage. The frogs however are each over a year and I have only hear two calls. it wasnt enough to wake me up.

I appreciate the help but others have told me that the croaking of a male will inevitably happen, (above). When they do croak how often, how loud, and how long.

well like I said before, I have never heard a pacman frog call but I do have a bullfrog that does. it is short. My bullfrog has only done one at a time. It is a deep and low croak, it almost sounds human. it scared me the first time I heard it because it was pitch black in my room. it is not continuous and he isnt loud. he could get louder as he gets older but it is nowhere as loud as the western toads we have in northern CA. My advice would be to not get one just because it might just take one time for your parents to tell you to get rid of it. my parents' rule is "nothing with fangs"
