How are you keeping track of temp/humidity? I don't think I saw any gauges in your pictures. Btw, very cute frog you have there
The humidity gauge was not present when I took the pics. I use a digital thermometer that captures the high and
low temps. I also have a analogue humidity gauge that I haven't stuck on the glass yet.

I have taken some readings today of the tank.

Ambiant air temperature is 23.5 degrees C all over the terranium.
substarte temperature 27-28 C where the heat mat is situated.
25 degrees on substrate where the heat mat is not present.
    humidity is 75%

Now the humidity looks low to what I have read. I'm using an exo terra terranium. These are very ventilated with a mesh top. I have closed that off today to try and bring the humidity up. This will probably bring the air temperature up as well.

Ill check how's its doing when it's had time to settle down.

Sorry if I'm boring people. I just want to make sure my pacman is as happy as possible.

Substrate temp should never be higher than the ambient air temp. Like was stated they burrow to cool off. you need to move that UTH. 75% for humidity is fine. 80% is the ideal level. You want your ambient air temps to be 25° to 27° C during the day and hover around 22° C at night.

I'm purchasing a new heat mat to tomorrow. I will locate this on the side of the tank. Hopefully this will sort it out.

    Thanks griff much appreciated.

Ok the new heater is on. The temp is already 25 ambient after only an hour of the heat mat being switch on.

How long do these guys stay buried for? He's been buried deep for a couple of days now. I would like to feed him but at the same time I don't want to disturb him.

They're nocturnal so you need to offer food at night. They need a 12 hour day/night cycle. So you'll need day time lights to be on at 8:00 am. Day lights go off and night lights come on at 8:00 pm. That is if you have night lights. When you're going to feed him just unburry his head so he can see and offer food. Then leave him be and check to see how many are in there in the morning. Offer around 5 or 6 small crickets for first feeding. Break the hind legs off the crickets though before you offer them so they're much easier to catch.
