Awesome!
I've always wanted an Iguana, but we don't have any here, and I haven't a clue how to keep them
Question; Do they always stay on you, or would they hop off at some point? I always see people with them on their shoulders or arms, but I've always wondered if they stay after the picture is taken.
Eitherway, they look very cool. Especially your Chameleon. I like the Mohawk and the "I don't like you" face.
Haha yea Lee Roy stays put for the most part luckily I live fairly close to their natural habitat so I let him summer in a custom built outdoor cage. As far as temperament it comes down to how well they like that person and how well socialized they are Lee Roy is a very social iguana loves people that's not even me in the picture that's my mate![]()

Gee, it's like you keep everything lol.
I've only got a Turtle and some Frogs... unless you count the animals I work with at the Zoo. Although there, I've got two Giant Galapagos Tortoises I personally work with and some Lemurs
.
So that's how Iguanas are... I never realized. This makes me want one even more now. But perhaps my climate is too Tropical for them? After all, I live on an Island.
Stubble looks like he's giving you the eye lol.
Haha yea I have a nice collection wanting more but gotta go slowand iguanas are tropical mate lol mine was bred in Florida but they come from like south America, Surinam, central America all the tropical regions haha I'm in Texas (close to Mexico where they run wild)

They can be pretty pricey... Also, set-ups can be complicated if you live in areas with frequent cold weather [which I don't think Texas has...]. People here who have Box Tortoises, leave them outside, but fence them in, with a little hut/house. It's always sunny here, so it's better to have them outside and get premium UV :] .
I was considering getting a Radiated Tortoise until I realized how big those buggers get! And even still... I kinda want it lol. Although they are endangered so...
We have pretty cold winters here but it would come inside for thatthat's why I want the sulcuta I love how big they get

I'm much more adept with smaller species, which is why I keep the species of Frog that I do, even though I'm recently starting to cave and want to get a Tomato frog...
I've had small birds, turtles, mammals. I have no clue why.
Sora [My Turtle] is the biggest animal I've kept, and she's 9inches shell length.
and she's not even done yet! Not to mention these pictures were from last year... she hasn't grown too much this year.
haha yea we have those wild here Red Ear Sliders get HUGE i caught one on a fishing line that was 15in long!!!
We have them wild as well, but I've had Sora since she was about 4-5inches. About 3 years now...
But they're over running the Native DiamondBack Terrapins, so now we've got a conservation act going for them.
Usually Females get to be about 12inches averagely, but have been known to excede a ruler from time to time. Males, not so much... You probably got a female.
They are opportunistic, and also learn that they can be fed by humans, so I'm not surprised you caught one on a line lol. Sora used to be handfed, until someone told me it's not good to handfeed, cause then they won't eat otherwise. Now I alternate.
they eat our bait and fish they are very carnivorousness here
To be expected for sure...especially from young ones.
They are actually technically Omnivorous, as well as Insectivores.
As they get older, they tend to prefer more leafy greens, but like to enjoy alittle fish/shrimp here and there.
But really, they'll take a chump out of anything, and once they learn they can't eat, usually won't try again.
yup they are fun but VERY nasty to keep
Guess who's coming Tuesday?!?!
Kirby!!!!!!!
He should be here by 10:30amand has a brand new vision cage waiting for him! (150$ for a 6fter
) I can't wait to have a tegu in my house again!
Also some updated pics of the torts
