Hello everyone!
My name is Stacia and I'm from Montana. I have two amphibians: a young Colombian Spotted Frog and an adult Western Toad. I joined this forum because I want to learn as much as I can about keeping amphibians. Most of my experience is with reptiles, specifically snakes, but I love my two little frog buddies.
My Columbian Spotted Frog was a surprise pet when my dad brought home two tadpoles last summer. I lost one of the froglets soon after they left the water but the second has been growing and thriving as far as I can tell. My Western Toad made a home inside my aunts outdoor fire pit. Sadly she was unaware of the fact that she had toads living in the pit and I spent the evening trying to remove as many toads from the fire as possible. My family thought I was insane for sticking my hand into an open fire but me and my young cousin were successful in saving 14 Western Toads from the fire. My toad Trevor was the last (and largest) toad to be saved and he has some damage on his underside near his right hind leg.
I look forward to being a part of this forum!
Trevor
