I have a juvenile Red Eyed Tree Frog and he's currently in a 12"x12"x12" Exo Terra Terrarium (I know that Tree Frogs are supposed to be in vertically oriented cages but I couldn't afford one at the time). So money is tight and I want to get a cage that he'll be able to live in for the rest of his life (We're just assuming that it's a boy). Should I go with the 12"x12"x18" or the 18"x18"x24"?
I'm sure it'd definitely be much happier in the 18x18x24" then it would the 12x12x18". Not to mention, the price difference isn't that much.. if you're lucky you can find one for a good deal. I just bought an 18x18x24" from PetSmart a couple weeks ago for $75 brand new, nothing wrong with it. Which is a decent price from what I've seen advertised elsewhere.
The only pet store in our area is reeeallyyy far away, so I'll probably order on Amazon. The 18"x18"x24" is about $90 there. Thanks for the help!
I'd keep an eye on PetSmart and they have that 25% off sale going on all year so it might come up again for sale sometime. The tank I got is the one with the Sri Lanka background which actually doesn't look that bad, IMO. It's normally priced for $100. I haven't even got mine planted yet, need to decide what kind of frogs I want to put in it first.
