    Default ACF nonstop shedding

Venus, age 2.5 months has been shedding nonstop for weeks! I see pieces coming off of her practically every time I look at her. She doesn't eat it either, the skin and poops accumulate along the bottom, making the water very cloudy. I had a filter going in her tank but it did not help much. Sometimes I'll clean her water 3 times a day, and I'll pick the stuff up off the bottom with a turkey baster, and the skin piles up again hours later. Anyone experienced with this type of thing?

Check your water.. 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and nitrate under .25ppm. If those numbers are off that could easily explain why your frog is shedding. What temperature do you keep your water? I try to keep mine at 70F and my frogs seem to be doing OK. Also how large of an aquarium do you keep your ACF in?

I would definitely check the water first, usually these issues are caused by the environment.

Do you dechlorinate your water using Prime (or a similar product though Prime is the best) when performing water changes, because chlorine = bad news? Three times a day seems excessive, why not just use a filter? Why do you use a filter only some of the time? I run two filters on my ACF 20gallon (a Whisper 20i and a Marineland 150b) without any problems.

My ACF froglets shed maybe once every 2 weeks and eat the skin, which I believe is normal. If yours are shedding like you describe there is certainly something amiss here.

Do you have an ACF or ADF? I don't own ADF but I would assume they're like ACF but on a much smaller scale.

It's normal for these frogs to shed every few weeks, they eat their skin. It happens pretty fast though so it's easy to miss.
