    Default yellow water

    i have a waterfall in my pacmans enclosure and it fills up his water bowl and his bowl overfills and sinks into the substrate to start all over again ........ my concern is today i saw the water bowl filled and the water is yellow .... is this dangerous ? ....anyone else experience this ....... i have a pump covered with hydroballs and eco earth as substrate

    It may just be tannins leaching into the water. How long has the system been up and running?

    its been up and running for 3 months now ..........i drain the water once a week and put in fresh water ......and within 30 mins the waters yellow again

    id say the substrate is leaching which isnt of anything to be concerned with.

    i'll second that its tannins from the substrate
