Well my first ? would be what kind of toads do you have? how long have you had them? Im assuming that since one of there names is swimmer that the liked water in there last inclosure right?
there fire bellys did i post this in wrong section i got them about month ago i had them in a 10 gal and that seemed to cramped
i resucued them from a freand that had them for awhile and one got out and cat ate it it got sic and he was gunna garbage disposal them my kids named them swimmer lived in the water all time but feeding time im new to amfibions as i am a fish gal
No you put this in the right section, I just didn't read the title all the way, sorry. Well they might just be adjusting to there new home plus after being in a 10g then moving to a 55g there gonna want to explore there new surrondings. Im sure there is nothing to worry about give them time. I have to ask is your water tray a paint tray? well you came to the right place to learn, i hope I've helped. By the way thanks for saving them
oh and dont thank me my kids do that enuf all life is sacred even the lil toads lol
oh forgive my manners thank you for the info but arnt they mostly aquatic should i add some sorta humidifier
Hi Kira,
First, welcome to the forum, second Ronin is right in the fact that they need time to adjust to an enclosure that is almost five times larger than the one they were in. Fire Bellies are semi-aquatic, spending time on ground and water. Granted some of them enjoy spending alot of time in the water than others, but with having so much more land to explore that's where they are spending most of their time right now. When they feel more comfortable they'll be spending more time in the water. As long as they are eating well then they only need some time.![]()
