I have a baby pacman frog that is about an inch to an inch and a half. I have questions about a couple things;

1. Would baby nightcrawlers be a good staple for him if I dusted them every other feeding?
2. How many should I feed him? Will he know when to stop eating, or will he just eat until he bursts? :P
3. How often should I feed a baby? I've gotten answers from everyday to every other day.

Any light you can shed on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,

Welcome to Frog Forum.

Night Crawlers and Earthworms are an excellent food for frogs of all ages. Just cut off pieces that are appropriately sized for you young frog. Rule of thumb is to offer pieces that are no larger than the distance between the frogs eyes. This goes for crickets too. I would switch back and force between crickets and chunks of Night Crawler and offer Waxworms occasionally too. Offer what he wants most will stop when they're full others seem to never be full Lol! Start off with about 6 small crickets. Break the hind legs off them so they are easier to catch. When offing Night Crawler pieces you may have to try and see if he will take them from tongs. Its much easier and cleaner this way, but if he won't take the from tongs just set them infront of him. offer about the same amount of the chunks as the crickets. Their appetite grows with them so you will offer more each every other feeding by one food item until you reach a stopping point which you should decide on. I wouldn't go over 10 small crickets though once you reach that point. Offer a variety of foods, but stay away from Mealworms and SuperWorms. they are high risk for impaction(severe constipation) which can lead to death.

Offer food daily and dust with a multivitamin once a week and with a calcium supplement every couple feedings. Do not dust with both at the same Time in the same feeding.

I hope this helps. We love pics so get some on here of your little one.
