    Default I'm absolutly gutted!!!!

I'm sooooo gutted! Found Fatty, one of my White's floating in the aquatic section of my terrarium today Looks like he'd fallen in and gotten tangled in a plant and drowned. I'm so upset, and my 10yr old daughter burst into tears as she loved him.
I still have Skinny, who is being spoilt rotten now. I'm getting rid of the aquatic section as I couldn't handle it happening again.
    RIP Lil' Greenie xxxxx

It was such a shock! Got him as a tiny froglet 3 months ago, he was perfectly healthy, had grown loads and was eating like a horse. Then he had to go and drown! What a $**t!!

Aww, so sorry to hear that Katie. We got our frogs at about the same time so I understand how devastated you must be.

I'm shocked and saddened Katie. I've never kept tree frogs with significant water bowls. I hope your daughter and you get over the loss soon.

Cheers Kerry I'm only guessing he drowned, can think of no other reason why he'd be dead in the water when everything else was going swimmingly (hehe)
I'm putting the fish in a tank tomorrow to avoid it happening again John May even get another White's as my surviving one is still small and in a huge terrarium by it's self.

I am so sorry for your loss. My pair of White's also live in a flooded tank with fish and they have been there since summer 2005. Are you sure the cause of death was drowning? I have never seen a treefrog drown before. Not one.

That's just it Kurt, I'm not 100% sure at all Everything else was going great. Both frogs were eating well (crickets, dusted), there's plenty of poop and both frogs were acting fine. Survivng frog is being watched carefully now, in case there was something I missed. Any clues why a perfectly healthy looking, young White's would just drop dead? I'm guessing he drowned as a) I found him submerged, tangled in a plant and b) I had to help him out of the water a few weeks back as he fell in and was struggling to get out (there were vines, plants and a turtle dock in the water for this purpose).
Have now replaced water with Forest Floor Cypress Mulch.

I have a clown loach and an African knife fish in with my White's.

Katie, as to why your White's died, I am clueless.
