not sure where I should put this, but I wanted to make sure people saw this and just not thought I re posting to the other thread..like I said he was treat for bloat once , it didn't work.. saline soaks for 2 weeks that didn't work, he just kept getting poofier over the yr, and I don't if the log made him have a sore spot and made it pop and cause a hole or he just got a sore spot on his own from his skin becoming so stretched? he has been doing fine so far it has been over a week now since it's popped and he doesn't look like he's getting puffy anymore.. keeping my fingers crossed

I would just keep the water in good condition (don't overfeed, good filtration, change 25% of the water once a week) and let it heal on its own. Honestly as long as it's not infected or a fungal issue as long as the water is kept clean he should recover on his own.

I hope he gets better, if he's acting normal that's a good sign. Just keep up on making sure his conditions are optimal and these guys usually can recover on their own.
