So, I just found out my Pixie wont eat anything but roaches. I bought it when it was a semi-adult, I also found that another Pixie I bought from the same guy has the same problem.
They would happily munch down on 6-10 dubia roaches a day, but when I give them a live mouse, they ignore it. I've not fed them for a week, and they refuse to eat the mouse, frozen, or live.
i wouldnt worry too much about it. In my opinion mice can be a hassel for frogs. just keep feeding them roaches and see if they will try nightcrawlers as well
sell them lol
Okay, I left one in the tank to see what would happen and the female attempted to eat it, then gave up, felt really bad since it was half bitten.
The male totally ignored the mouse, they both went nuts when I put some dubia roaches and eat them all -_-
that's good...honestly mate, mice are not that great for frogs....amphibians have a hard time digesting mammalian tissue and to many will cause sever obesity and lots of diseases your frogs wont go hungry mate if you are trying to get them off roaches fast them for a week put them in a separate tube and then feed night crawlers ( i feed all my frogs in separate takes)
