So I have decidedto go with tree frogs for my enclosure. But now I am trying to decide what to go with. I kind of like the gray/green tree frogs, and I love the retf. Can anyone tell me what kind of enclosures are needed, (IE how big for a certain number of frogs?) I also knw that I wanta tree frog that sings at night. Any suggestions? I know most species, its the male that sings, but what tree frogs sing alot?
Any tree frog will need an enclosure with more height than ground space. Tree frogs are rarely found on the bottom substrate unless looking for a meal or seeking such as getting to a water dish or laying on the moisture substrate due to a low humidity in the enclosure.
Keep in mind that these frogs are active at night and some will retreat if your adding a night light. RETFs are common to refrain from activity when a night light is introduced where a WTF usually doesn't care once they are acclimated to the enclosure.
As for singing, got me, my RETFs sound off occasionally where the WTFs croak loudly and enough that you can hear them outside.
:-)
