I keep seeing frogs on youtube and there legs keep twitching just like this ones what is causing it and how come? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMOOs...eature=related
Frogs sometime wiggle their toes in attempt to lure preys in closer.
The frog in that particular video is doing the "Come to me" dance for the prey.
Sometimes you will see a frag rub it's back & sides with it's hind legs to assist it in shedding.
And then there is the dreaded spastic movements that come from neurological issues or sickness.
The trick is in being able to tell which it is doing.
My baby surinam does this when I put food in the cage, but only with one leg. Kinda funny to watch.
Yeah, using that toe-wiggling to lure preys in is a common behavior in Ceratophrys although other frogs and toads do it, too.
i dd not even know this i thought maybe was something wrong with the frog that is actually very cool
