    Default Poison Dart Frog help

I just recently picked up a pair of D. auratus that have been OOW for 3 months now. I have them in a 10 gallon tank that is planted with a snake plant and other plant clippings. What I was wondering is I covered 3/4 of the screen lid with plastic wrap should that be enough to create enough humidity for them? I don't have leaf litter on the bottom of the tank yet, should I put leaves in the bottom of the tank too.

I also plan on seeding the tank with isos this week. Can I do this with the frogs already in the tank.

    Thanks Thad

What is the humidity? You have to base the setup off the tanks conditions.
If you need more humidity you cover more, but the you have to monitor temps since the more top you cover the more heat is retained inside the tank.

Yes you can put isopods in with the but they will eat them up quickly :-)

I'll have to pick up a therm/hydro today so I'm not sure what the base reading is. I have a natural sunlight bulb sitting just above the tank that I cycle for natural conditions.

I knew they would eat them up so I figured I would seed the tank once a week for a month, figured if I did that it would be able to seed itself.

i add springtails to my tank once a week and there are plenty in it. I can glance in the tank at any time and see springs cruising around on the leaf litter. Frogs love them and eat some daily. I'm also culturing Giant Orange isos at the moment and once my colony gets big enough i'll add some adults into the tank as janitors and to produce babies for the frogs to eat as well
