And I don't mean swift as in quickly but rather an Emerald Swift. Does anyone have experience in this field? My cousin is about to receive one as a gift. He wants to know what different types of bulbs out there on the market can he use for his swift? From what I have gathered on swifts, I have realized that swifts can have anything from a mercury vapor bulb to high output uvb, such as repti sun 10.0 bulbs or Zilla Desert Series 50 fluorescent tubes. I would go with the latter because I currently have those for my uro and they work great. But he still wanted a second opinion from anyone who has owned an emerald swift. He wants to be cautious and get everything right. Thanks for any prior help.
I have had Sceloporus malachitus in the past. They do need UVB lighting, but keep in mind this is not a species of arid conditions. It can be found in the rainforests of Central America.
