New to the forum and to Frogs/Toads

Hey everyone. I'm joining sites like this to educate myself on the care of fire bellied toads. I'll be purchasing one once I feel confident I can care for it properly . Any tips such as list of items required in owning one etc would be great.

I already have a 10 gallon aquarium which I'm going to get a screen to cover. I used it for fish and I worry they can escape through the filter hole.

I've also learned that gravel is a bad idea so what would you recommend? I really would prefer to use only one substrate and then use a large rock or log as the "land" however the comfort of my new buddy is more important so I will do whatever you feel is best.

Also is it true that they get sad if they are alone? I was really only wanting to purchase one but if I have to I will get two.

Labas! I'm new here too, but I've had experience with other herpentiles and have had a large firebelly toad tank for quite a while now. I'll answer your questions on your actual question thread, but for now, I welcome a fellow newbie, lol.

Welcome to frog forum! I am actually getting a couple fire belly toads too, I know anything and everything about them. I can give you some tips if you want. I will send you a friend request so I can let you know more about them.
