I went to the store today and found a small hoya plant (pretty sure its a carnosa) and I thought it would be nice in my whites treefrog tank since they originate from Australia. I use about 4 inches of cocofiber for bedding in the terrarium with live moss on top. All my plants are epiphytes so I didn't use any real soil in the tank. How should I go about planting it? Its in a little pot with crappy soil. Thank you in advance for your help
Hi.
I would re-pot it with coco fiber --in the pot that it is in, then sink the pot it into the substrate in the enclosure.
I don't put plants right into my enclosures. You want to let it grow out all the bad stuff. ( pesticides and fertilizer).
It's a great plan and should do well.

That plant ledge is very cool, I might have to invest in a few of those. But if I do the more traditional pot sinking do I just put the cocofiber on top of the soil like a cover, when I put it in. But wait a few weeks before I do that so it may grow out the bad stuff?
