So i got 2 fire belly toads about a week ago and have fallen in love with them but i want to give them the best care possible. I know food is important so i got some crickets and some dust. I breed Beta fish and through this i learned that a varied diet is best but i wasn't sure what to feed my toads other then crickets. can anyone help me on this?
i feed dubia roaches and night crawlers pretty healthy feeders and give a varied diet
Can Fire belly toads have Isopods? and for the night crawlers where do u get them from the fish bate section in the store, your back yard, or do they have special stuff for toads?
i get mine from petsmart (you'll have to cut the night crawlers personally id use red wigglers lol) and as for isopods i dont see why not
I feed mine crickets, Phoenix worms, butterworms and an occasional waxworm.
I give my FBT's waxworms about once a month for a treat--they love them and will eat them right out of my hand.
I feed mine crickets, dubias, waxworms, etc. Actually, a good food for them is silkworms. They have less fat then waxworms and mine will readily eat them. If you can find them, silkworms are great!![]()
