You have to mist daily, depending on humidity, but can you use all kinds of water?
In the tank pics you can see the dehumidifier, wich takes water out of the air.
Can i mist the frog with that?
Not bein a pest. Just want to make the best set up you can. ^^
I'm not sure if there the same thing. Someone who knows more may be able to say if they are or not. These are the ones I have: Zoo Med HydroBalls Expanded Clay Terrarium Substrate - Sand - Substrate & Bedding - PetSmart
As for water, the best is either bought spring water or tap water treated with dechlorinator. I think the kind your talking about is a reverse osmosis system which the process removes vital minerals from the water that your frogs will need.
And yes! Tree limbs and things to climb on are always a good idea. However, if your gona take things from the wild, be sure they are clean of mold or bacteria by soaking them in HOT, nearly boiling, water or a warm water and vinegar solution (1:1 ratio) overnight. If you use the vinegar solution be sure to soak them in dechlorinated water after (preferably over night too) to get as much vinegar out as you can. Its not as harmful as cleaners like bleach but could still be more then a little irritating to them.
Can someone tell me if this is the same as hydroballs?
Hydroton Clay Pebbles-10 Litres: Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors
yes it is the same thing. it says it right on there. they go under the name hydroton, leca, clay balls.... BUT they do make ones specified for reptiles. i got ones that were not specified for reptiles. i honestly dont know if theres a difference besides in price. i got a huge bag of them from the hydroponics store. it was the same price as a small bag from the pet store. so just depends on how much money you want to spend.
