    Default Frog identification

    During my time out to the park I captured this little guy. Is this a frog or a Toad and what species?

    It looks like it has paratoid glands; so i'll assume its a toad? Not really sure what species, but it looks similar to the Cane toad. It seems to have webbing, so it could frequent or atleast make use of water. Not entirely sure :/

    I think it's either the eastern American toad, Anaxyrus americanus, or Fowler's toad, A. fowleri.

    Looks like just a common southern toad. there are many different species. I always just referred to them all as Oak Toads. it is definitely a common southern toad of some sort. it does look like more like a fowlers toad. here is a list that you can browse of the genus Bufo or Anaxyrus.     I'm 100% sure it is a Bufro fowleri or a Fowler's Toad. They are a very common southern toad and I found lots in my backyard every year. They are cute, for sure.

    They are definitely toxic if ingested (so...I wouldn't recommend eating one =\). I try to remove them from my yard anytime I see them because my dogs try to eat them. >_<
