Can you provide a size comparison photo? Male almost never reach this size. They are usually half that. Especially in Brown Cranwellies. Not unheard of, but extremely rare. Place a ruler next to him. I'd love to see this monster

Looks like a Brown Cranwelli. They have mixtures of Brown and Green and the stripes can change from pale green to bright green. He looks like my Brown Female Grif.

Pacman Frogs have several different shades of color that make up their pattern and the change shades often. Mostly to camoflage themselves to match the soil they're burrowed in.

    That awesome!!

I've been bitten once by one of my new males, but it was my fault. He didn't do it on purpose or for defence reasons. It was feeding time and I reached in by his face while I was feeding him and he thought I was offering food. Had to happen eventually. Adds a little more respect for the animal in my book and it will make me not be as surprised if it were to happen again.

I also forgot to mention that sometimes they'll change color with their mood. All mine except Pariah(go figure) doesn't mind for me to handle them to an extent. All will become aggitated after a while, but mine are rarely calm Grif and Nephilim are the most "tame". They just have to get used to you and trust you. I train all mine to tong feed, but my Ornate will take worms from my hands. Its more sanitary to tong feed even though it is a joy and very nice for them to trust you enough to take food from your hands.

Each of mine have a different way of letting me know they're full and each have very different personalities.

Lol! Names are sometimes difficult to choose. That's not a bad choice. I soooo glad you're not calling him Jabba. I'm actually tired of people naming their Pacs Jabba. Its unoriginal and way over used. No offense to those here who have chosen to name their frog Jabba.

Can't call him Mean Green because like you said he isn't Mean at all. I always name them according to their personalities or traits that they have. For instance my Ornate is a Super Red Blue Line so I named him Sanguine. Which of course means "of blood red color" so it fits nicely since he is dark red. Pariah doesn't like to be touched or handled so her name fits. Malachite is a green stone that is found near veins of copper and is used for good luck. Malachite is a Green Apple which is a cross between Green C. Cranwelli and Green C. Joazeirensis(Castings) and usually don't make it to adulthood because they develops problems as they mature. By luck or whatever you want to call it Malachite has taken more genes from the Cranwelli than Castings so seems stronger and eats very well where most Green Apples do not. Nephilim is a hybrid from Samurai Reptiles. He is a Samurai Blue and a Nephilim is a hybrid between an Angel and human. He's a huge Teddybear. Can Di anything with him. Loki was really mischievous as a baby and climbed on any fake plants or furniture I placed in with him so I felt the name was fitting and so did my wife. Grif is my oldest. She is named after a character from the popular web series Red vs Blue. The character is a guy, but we thought she was too until she became quite large and no nuptial pads showed. Plus no Calling. She is lazy just like the character so it fits too. She is also a big baby and j can do whatever I want with her. she likes to sit in my hands sometimes after I soak her. Even Broms me when she want out of the water by hopping testes me.

If that's the name you want its a good one. He's camo colored after all

I got stuck naming most of our Cranwelli after foods. They usually look like their names too.........Jello looks like a vat of green jello and jiggles like it too! The ornates are going to be movie favorites I think.....starting with our oldest male Leonitus....he survived battle with Jello who broke his jaw in a mating attempt, so he is a Warrior King.
