Hey, everyone! I thought I would share a trick with you that I just tried out. I have a 10 gallon glass tank for one of my pacmans, and a smaller Critter Carrier (plastic) for a baby pac. Humidifiers are expensive, as you know, and I only had the Repti-Fogger. I work night-shift, and sleep all day, so getting up to mist the tanks isn't really practical for me. So using a few (fairly) cheap tools, here's what I did so I didn't have to buy a second humidifier!
You'll need:
--Your Repti-Fogger (zoo-med)
--An Aquarium Vacuum (Siphon), or a looooooong aquarium tube that's fairly thick (I got Lee's Gravel-Vac and Siphon)
-- Swimming Ear Plugs (I found mine at Walmart in the ear plug section. They're usually made of wax or silicone)
1) Take your hose off of your Repti-Fogger and make sure it's completely dry.
2) Measure how far the tubing has to go to get to both tanks. Cut your Gravel-vac tubing to those lengths, with about 2 inches extra. Keep the extra pieces just in case.
3) Your tubing should be just big enough to stuff both tubes into the Repti-Fogger tube together. However, if you hook it back up and turn it on, you'll see that there will be a lot of humidity escaping from between the tubes.
4) Take your Silicone Ear plugs (I only needed one), knead it until it's thin, and cram it up into the hose, and into all of the holes out of which humidity could escape.
5) When you turn on the humidifier again, humidity will only come out of the tubes.
I've found that humidity comes out more strongly from the tube closest to the fogger (and usually the shortest tube), but my baby pac's tank is further away so this works. I also have mine on a tank timer to go off throughout the day.
Of course I'm going to put a disclaimer here. I've only had it going like this for a few days, and it seems to be working well, but I can't guarantee it's going to stay like that. I know that the Repti-Foggers have a reputation for breaking down, but I've been pretty happy with mine so far, and since I don't have to put it on full power all the time anyway, it seems healthy enough.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like a great idea!
Well done![]()
This was a brilliant idea! I've been trying to figure out how to use the fogger with both my main tank and the quarantine tank. It's a pain to keep moving the hose back and forth. This works perfect! We just stuck the fish tank hoses into the repti-fogger hose and then wrapped some tape around it! I put the fogger on the floor so there is no bend in the hose because condensation was building up then it would stop working.
