Default White Fuzz on Sphagnum Moss

Anybody know that white fuzz that grows on Sphagnum moss? Is it deadly to frogs?

Its mold and should be removed. Frogs are really prone to fungal infection.

My tanks get mold in them here and there not all the time it grows in the coco-fiber. Should I remove ALL the coco-fiber or just the moldy parts?

I would remove it all. Mold could be growing on other parts, and you might not be able to see it.

I'm just saying that you'll be going through a ton of eco earth. It's because of the moisture. It's you're screwed if you do and you're screwed if you don't. I do spot checks daily and I do overall cleaning every couple of weeks. I haven't had any die on me yet. I like paper towels but they get them dirty soooo fast and the seem to not like it.

If you just remove the area affected by the white mold it will be fine. Usually it will grow on the driftwood pieces you buy and add to the enclosure. It will go away after a while. If you mist with distilled water the mold usually dies off after a while. I only remove the soil that is affected. It is still safe. You shouldn't have to remove all the substrate since the mold only grows on the top and this kind usually doesn't become a overwhelming problem in the tank.
