i have had my pacman frog for 1 week now and will not eat the bedding is eco earth the temp is 26 C i have a dry part and a wet part with a water bowl need help please
How does the frog look? What is the humidity of the tank?
he looks fine i spray the tank twice a day
You might want to get a gauge to measure the humidity to know for sure.
So what have you tried feeding him? You might have to tong feed which is a pain, but can be done. Just make sure you use tongs with a rubber end.
i have only tried crickets i have looked on the internet an it says they most enjoy mice but mine is only big enough to feed him pinkie mice thanks for the help
I'd skip the mice for now. Stick with crickets and maybe worms. It depends on how big your Pac-Man is but waxworms are a nice treat. Nightcrawlers would probably work as well. Someone that has tried that can verify if needed. I've only fed nightcrawlers to my Pyxie.
could it be down to stress why he/she is not eating an if so how long will this last for?
That is always possible especially with a frog that you just brought home. More than likely that is what it is. Most of mine have ate right away, but it does happen. Also try to leave it alone, and don't handle it if you are.
Mine didn't eat for 12 days, and I had to open his mouth and put a butter worm in it! And he ate it! I'm so glad. You should try wax worms or butter worms.
Tell us how it goes!
