    Default I need help!!

I have a Green Frog male and what I think to be some sort of green frog from the south ( at least the guy at the pet store where I got it said its from a lake in florida ) You can see them in the pictures I attached. V is the Green one, and Gilmore is the darker one. I got V out of the wild last summer, and he has been so happy and tame, I can't even believe I took him from the wild. He has been croaking on and off since I brought him home. I raised Gilmore from a tadpole, and I think it is approaching 2 years old. Now V is a male for sure. I was never sure about Gilmore, though it never made any noise whatsoever.

Last night, my fiance fed the goldfish that I have in the tank, and less that two hours later, as she passed the tank, she noticed something sticking to the glass wall of the tank.

    EGGS!!!!

I posted pics of what was there also.

Should I be alarmed? Can I be sure that they have been fertilized? How long can I expect them as eggs before they hatch, if they were fertilized? Would have one of the frogs kicked the eggs out of the water thus sticking them to the glass?

I took the eggs off the glass and put them in water, because they looked like they were dehydrating.
any advice or knowledge in this matter would be helpful.

    Thanks everyone
    Dave

I don't think you have frog eggs. Are there snails in your tank?

Yeah we do have 4 snails in that tank which I hadn't even considered. Would they be snail eggs then? And if so, should I have put them in water separate from that tank?

Those are apple snail (also sold as "mystery snail") eggs. From my experience, once they start breeding, they won't stop, so you're bound so see more over the next few months. Apple snails have lungs, so they breathe air, and lay their eggs just above the water line so they won't drown. Being in water might've ruined this batch. If you decide you want to breed the apple snails, just wait for the next clutch and let them be. They'll do their own thing. The humidity coming off the waterline should be enough to keep them going. After the thrill of my first clutch, I quickly realized I would be infested, and wound up chucking every egg clutch after that.

Once they decide they like your tank's conditions, they'll probably keep laying. They're not hermaphroditic, though, so if you can figure out their sexes, (which I could only ever do when they were going at it), you can separate the boys and girls to stop them breeding.
