I do believe that is a young leopard frog due to the spots and white stripe. If they are newly morphed you can feed them fruit flies which you can order online or get at your local reptile shop or if they are bigger really tiny pinhead crickets are good.
I'd have to disagree, im pretty sure that's a green frog (they can have banded legs as well); the shape of the frog is more typical of green frogs.
The ridges, and lack of spots on the back makes it look like a Green Frog to me.
Thats definitely a green frog. Id know it anywhere! Feed them crickets amd dubias that are NO BIGGER than the space between their eyes. For two get a 30 gallon tank but since they are very young a ten is fine for a couple of years. They are active and jump far. Dust their food with calcium/vitamin d3 powder or give them a UVB bulb. Preferably both. My first frog was a green and i lost her to bone diesease that way. GET RID OF THE GRAVEL!! They will swallow it and get impacted. To sex them, if the typanic membrane is smaller than the ear, its a female, if larger, a male. Give them plenty of places to hide too. These frogs live for 5-9 years and are a huge commitment. One last thing, at this size, feed them every day. When they reach 1.5 inches, switch to every other day. At 2.5 inches (approx) feed them three times a week

Well even if it is 2 years old, I still found the info useful, lol. I have two leopard frog tads that are getting ready to morph soon and I was looking at posts trying to figure out what to feed them. I found this very informative, thanks!![]()
Well, I'm glad that my 10 minutes of typing over and over again (app kept crashing) wasn't in vain!

Lol, isn't technology great...? No it was not in vain. I am glad you put the effort in, it was exactly what I needed! Thanks!![]()
You got it spot on Eli. Great info even for an old thread![]()
Sometimes digging up an old thread is helpful to others.
Yes, definitely a Green frog otherwise known as Lithobates clamitans. See their dorsolateral ridge lines? This is a good way to differentiate from a juvenile bullfrog who do not have them. Leopard frogs have a more triangular type nose and bolder more definitive spots.
Great updates everyone!![]()
