need help

i got no land in my tank an just hard driftwood i spent 80 dallors on it . is it good for a retf ....... n i got a stick heater from zoomed lady said it gona crack my glass i put it on bottom to heat up water n cause evaporation ? i dont no nothing please help quick i feel like nobody goes on this website askin for help long time .
