    Default Rocks in my EcoEarth!

I got some new Eco-Earth about a week ago, and just in what I've put in my frog's tank so far I've found several small rocks! They're actually rocks too; I thought at first they might just be hard clumps of cocofiber or little chunks of bark or something. They're small enough that I doubt they'd cause an impaction, but they've all had sharp edges which worries me since Trevor tends to nom (there's no other word for how she eats) a fair bit of bedding along with her roaches.
I've never had this happen before, and I'm a little bit ticked Just thought I'd put this up here... I know I'm going to be on the lookout for rocks like that from now on!

Been there done that. D give them a call and complain. They will ask you to send pics of the rock via email and compensate you with a replacement brick or if you purchased a triple pack like I did they may replace all 3 fir free. Give them a call D. Better to let them know that you are unhappy and get some free substrate than to let it go.

I know this issue has come up before (like Grif said). I'm just wondering because I can't remember - has anyone had a problem with rocks in the bags of substrate in the past, or has it always been bricks? I know we've discussed this, I just can't remember the outcome.

Yeah I've found in both bags and bricks the following; rocks, bark, splintered wood, hard seeds, Easter grass, plastic tarp pieces, actual grass, pieces of hard plastic, and other plant material that risk impaction for our frogs.

Wow, I didn't realize it was that bad. I'll have to be more careful. Thanks Grif.

WOW, did not know this, very good to know that once we have moistened the eco earth we should inspect it all the time just incase.

No problem everyone. Just be careful and check it as you break it up for your frogs.

I don't have the rocks any more, but next time I find one (probably won't be long) I'm going to get my free bedding out of it!
I've seen the weird tarp pieces too! Those don't worry me as much as the rocks since I can see them and pick them out fairly easy.
