Question Staple creeping fig to exo-terra background?

I have a creeping fig that I want to get growing on my exo-terra background. Would it be okay to staple the plant (staple not INTO the plant, but on top of it) onto the background? Also, would an exo-terra bacckground be suitable for growth or should i just get a piece of cork bark or tree fern?

    BettaShawn,
I'm sure your good common sense tells you "not a good idea" . Otherwise you would not be asking?
Staples in the frog viv - scary!!

In my opinion, tree fern is too rough on delicate froggy skin- ouch !
I'm not so sure it would grow on cork bark. It might ?
Sorry, I don't have any experience growing -creeping fig- in/or on anything but tropical soil (and in small pots) .

No dude...the staples would be in bedded into the background...no part exposed to the frog except for the non-pointy side. Tree fern is actually great for the frogs.

Instead of stapling you could try using those coated paper clips.I've had luck with those and then you can pull them out when your plants start to root

Tree fern can become get rough & crumbly.
It certainly can provided the airiness an orchid likes, but can be coarse , brittle, and really does not hold water that well at all.
Because of that, it is often used as media to "open up" the structure, or as vertical mount base for plants such as for orchids, air plants, bromeliads.
It will do well in the moisture and w/ water running over it.
But will not soak up the water.

Not ideal for tree frogs to try to climb on or rub against anyway.
Imagine what a tree frog's face looks like after bumping into it a few times trying to catch a climbing cricket.

I would never put staples inside a frog enclosure! Embedded, or otherwise.
They could be pulled out by the frog or a growing plant and cause an injury to a frog......
